How it all started

I had a very interesting day with friends. Started off with lunch at a Nigerian restaurant in Brooklyn called Buka. This was a first for all of us, so we were looking foward to For those that are interested, the goat pepper soup was on point, and it was nice to try Schweppes Bitter Lemon again. The best thing to pair with good food is amazing company, and neither was in short supply. Got to chat a bit with Miss Gia and she is a genuinely sweet person, good sense of humour and fun to be around.

After lunch, we had a leisurely stroll in the area, and then descended into the depths of the NYC subway system to catch a train to Manhattan. Stopped off at Dave & Busters for some nail biting car racing. Esa Mujer was the winner all round, not quite sure how she did it, but fair play to her. Then we shot some hoops, and I had to represent with the Boss of Bosses, Daffy Doff, but Miss Gia looked like she was planning an upset.

Saw Horrible Bosses and that was an interesting movie, by far the funniest this year. Afterwards we all walked past the crossroads of the world and headed our separate ways. This was one of those evenings you wished wouldn't end, but it was nice.

Chatted later with my sister from another mother, about this and that. The main worry now is trying to figure out if I wake up to run in Central Park, Prospect Park, or just run around the neighborhood; decisions, decisions . . . decisions

But talking about decisions, I must say thank you to Miss Gia - she might not understand how, but she inspired me to start this blog, hehehe. I wonder if she will ever get to read this :)
